Privacy policy

TrafficChallan has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, phone number, email address, or any other personal detail to use the site, and we don't collect any of that ourselves.

The fine calculator

Our fine calculator doesn't ask for a vehicle registration number or any personal detail — you only pick an offence and a state from a couple of dropdowns and, optionally, a repeat-offence checkbox. The offence and fine data for every state is loaded onto the page when it renders, and the calculation itself runs entirely in your browser's JavaScript. Nothing you select in the calculator is sent to our servers or to anyone else; there's no server-side lookup involved at all.

Official portals

TrafficChallan links to official government portals for actually checking or paying a challan — for example echallan.parivahan.gov.in or your state's traffic police site. Those are independent government systems with their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them. Once you click through to a government portal, whatever data-handling rules that portal has apply, not ours.

Analytics

We may enable Cloudflare Web Analytics on this site. It is cookieless and privacy-respecting by design — it doesn't use tracking cookies or fingerprinting, and it doesn't collect any information that identifies you personally. If we turn it on, it's only ever used to see aggregate things like which pages get traffic, not to track individual visitors.

Advertising

This site does not currently run advertising. If we introduce advertising in the future, it may involve third-party ad networks that use cookies or similar technology, and we will update this policy to describe exactly what's involved before that happens — not after.
